Callan McAuliffe: I'm Not Much of a TV Person

Callan McAuliffe: I'm Not Much of a TV Person
Callan McAuliffe pops his collar in this new shot from photographer Steve Erle.
The 15-year-old actor dished more on his role in I Am Number Four to JJJ, getting along with his costars and which prop he would love to take home. Check it:
On his costars: “I knew Teresa [Palmer] was Australian which was awesome. We have such a diverse cast in terms where people are from. I knew Alex [Pettyfer] from Stormbreaker but I’ve never watched Glee [Dianna Agron]. I’m not much of a TV person. I’d never dedicate my time to watching every episode of something so I just flick to whatever is on. I didn’t know that much but it was great meeting them at the [first] reading.”
On doing double duty with school and work: “I still go to school but it’s kinda difficult. I’m lucky enough to go to a really good private school and so everyone there has a laptop and we can all communicate by email. I do get all the schoolwork here [on set] and we have a fantastic private tutor here who gets all the info from the school so we can actually do the stuff that they’re doing and keep up so I’m not an idiot when I go back.”
On his favorite prop: “I get to carry for about half the film, this giant alien shotgun, this 20 gage, and that’s pretty awesome. I mean it lights up and it’s got red lights on it and you can actually cock it cause it’s got a real 20 gage shotgun inside of it.”
Check back soon for more on I Am Number Four — out in theaters on February 18th!
