Emily Browning attends a screening of her film Sucker Punch hosted by the organization Australians in Film held at the Harmony Gold Theatre on Thursday (March 24) in Los Angeles.
The 22-year-old actress was joined by fellow Aussie costar Abbie Cornish at the screening.
Later in the evening, Emily met up with the rest of the Sucker Punch cast at the party to celebrate their Nylon Magazinecovers!

Emily Browning & Max Irons: Supper Club Couple

Emily Browning and boyfriend Max Irons cozy up in the back seat of a car as they leave The Supper Club in Los Angeles after the premiere of Sucker Punch on Wednesday night (March 23).
The 22-year-old actress recently chatted with MTV about another aspect of the film — the makeup and costumes!
Emily shared about her experience, “It was weird because we went from three months of training—I’d had no makeup on for three months. I’d been sweaty and gross and wearing sweatpants…and then I’ve got three pairs of eyelashes on.”

Emily Browning: 'Sucker Punch' Premiere!

Emily Browning is white hot at the premiere of her new film Sucker Punch held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on Wednesday (March 23) in Los Angeles.
The 22-year-old actress plays Baby Doll, a “young girl who is institutionalized by her wicked stepfather. Retreating to an alternative reality as a coping strategy, she envisions a plan which will help her escape from the facility.”
Emily wore a lacy Erdem dress and Prada heels.
Sucker Punch hits theaters this Friday (March 25)!

Emily Browning Never Auditioned for 'Twilight'

Emily Browning carries a glass bottle of soda with her as she leaves to tape her segment on The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon in New York on Monday afternoon (March 21).
The 22-year-old actress, toting a Prada corda+cuoio two-tone cinghiale tote bag, recently sat down to chat with The Playlist about never auditioning for Twilight and how she almost considered quitting acting altogether.
“At one point I was very hesitant about acting. But actually [Sucker Punch], to be honest with you, is the one that’s brought me back and made me realize, ‘this is absolutely what I want to do!’ I have faith in this industry, if a movie making experience can be this positive and this much fun, then I can’t imagine ever doing anything else.”
Emily continued about her opportunity to take the role of Bella Swan, “I chose not to audition. I was at a point in my career where I wasn’t sure I wanted to work, I definitely didn’t want to sign onto a trilogy so I didn’t audition, but there were a lot of things people said: ‘you turned it down’ no that’s not the case, ‘you were offered it and you turned it down,’ no, no, no, that’s not what happened at all.”
Sucker Punch hits theaters on Friday, March 25th.

 

 

 

 

Emily Browning Never Liked Guns Before 'Sucker Punch'

Emily Browning never liked to use guns, she admits in this new interview for Sucker Punch.
The 22-year-old Aussie starlet admits while showing off Babydoll’s sword she uses in the film, “The fact that I can use a gun now, it’s kind of second nature. I mean, it’s still scary but…before I did this film, I never liked guns at all.”
Emily added about cast bonding: “The first thing we had to do together was fight. Lifting weights, cry, get sweaty, get hurt and get bruised. It’s a whole new level of bonding. Automatically, there was a sisterhood.”

Vanessa Hudgens, Emily Browning and Jamie Chung grace the April 2011 cover of Nylon mag along with Abbie Cornish and Jena Malone — that’s 5 covers!
Inside the issue, the girls chat about their first impressions of each other. Vanessa, 22, shared, “I remember walking in the very first day, and Jena is stretching her back from side to side, and I remember looking at her like, ‘Damn! Look at the back on that chica! She was so cut! I was blown away by her back muscles. I was like, ‘Okay, I’m a little bit intimidated, I must admit.’”
Emily, 22, added, “Warner Brothers were surprised that we all got along. It was magic. I only met everyone after they were cast.”
Vanessa continued about her initial reaction after seeing the final cut of the film: “My adrenaline was kicking, my energy, my spirits were so high that I literally felt like I had just walked out of a rock concert…When I saw it, I was literally like, Woo, yes! I can do anything! Yay! Go women! Like, I feel so empowered.”
